EAG Impressions
The Z3 roadster marked BMW's entry into the modern sports car market, competing directly with the Mazda Miata and Mercedes-Benz SLK. Initially, European markets received a wider range of engines, including a frugal 1.8L four-cylinder. U.S. buyers, however, were offered the more powerful 1.9L four-cylinder from the outset. As the model evolved, both markets gained access to six-cylinder engines, culminating in the high-performance M Roadster and M Coupe variants. These M models featured engines derived from the E36 M3, with European versions benefiting from the more sophisticated S50 engine, while U.S. models used the less powerful S52 unit - a continuation of the performance disparity seen in the E36 M3.
Overview

The late model Z3M Roadster, equipped with all the conceivable accessories, finished in legendary LSB! When the Z3 was introduced it almost immediately started a cult like following and after you experience what the Z platform offers it's easy to understand. The driver's seat feels like home with you positioned above the rear wheels while a BMW Motorsport powerplant resides under the long and iconic clamshell hood. In this example it certainly is a pearl with the 3.2L S54 engine sending 315hp to the rear of the car. Speak to any enthusiast that's piloted this configuration and you'll get a greater appreciation of the saying, "Flying by the seat of your pants"!
While this platform is undoubtly BMW it also bestows unique traits only found in the Z model range. Be it the bespoke seats, auxiliary analog gauges, or center console you feel familiar but with a tinge of additional excitement!
History
This Heritage EAG M Roadster has over 17k of investment to ensure its preservation! It first arrived at our facility in 2014 with 28,441 miles where it received a full fluid and filter service, fresh Michelin tires, new soft top window, engine drive belts, battery, and a host of extra mile services. Now, in 2025, it received another EAG comprehensive inspection and is receiving several services to reset the baseline. These services include complete low mileage factory Inspection II service, timing chain tensioner seal replacement, constant pressure valve o-ring replacement, replacement fuel level sensor/pump assembly, set of fresh Michelin 4S tires, four wheel alignment and another round of extra mile services to not just mimic but enhance what delivery day was like back in 2001!
