EAG Impressions
The E39 5-Series is often regarded as one of BMW's finest hours, striking a near-perfect balance between comfort, performance, and technology. While European markets enjoyed a wide range of engines, including efficient diesels and potent V8s, U.S. buyers had a more limited selection. The crown jewel of the lineup, the E39 M5, arrived in North America for the 2000 model year. Unlike previous generations, this M5 featured a V8 engine, bringing it closer in specification to its European counterpart. However, subtle differences remained, such as European models receiving a more advanced dynamic stability control system.
Overview

New Arrival EAG Signature E39 M5 in LeMans over Carmel with only 30k miles!
The E39 platform is often held as the sweet spot for the super sedan category that BMW introduced back in 1988 for the US. One trip around the block and it's easy to see why that's the sentiment. That is all it takes to picture this vehicle being the one that satisfies the mundane Monday commute and spurs the excitement of the weekend driving adventures. No matter if your introduction to this vehicle's capabilities was via Madonna sliding around or hearing an executive stretching its legs on an on-ramp there aura of something special was a real feeling and it's only grown with time.
This facelifted example has an extensive history with EAG and its network of enthusiasts. It's because of this history we proudly present it as an EAG Signature M5. The exterior shows free from any blemishes and the interior retains a vibrant appearance but with the to be expected matte finish. Always cared for with the best products and procedures this M5 allows the opportunity to experience BMW M at its best only separated by time.
History
EAG first had the opportunity to indulge in this M5 in 2016 when it arrived with only 27k miles. We reset the baseline from a service standpoint by performing an early BMW Inspection II service, engine belt replacement due to age, thrust arm bushings were upgraded to the E53 unit, the clutch was proactively replaced with an upgraded OEM unit, upper control arms replaced to remedy the aging of ball joint boots, axle seals replaced proactively, and rear door vapor barriers replaced proactively to ensure the Carmel panels were not compromised. We then had the car back in our service facility in 2021 where it received another $5,000 worth of maintenance and E39 specific upgrades like headlight adjusters, seat twist repairs, and DME update.
Now in 2025 we're performing another inspection and all subsequent services required to ensure this signature M5 arrives to its new owner ready to be enjoyed!
