EAG Impressions
The Z3 roadster marked BMW's entry into the modern sports car market, competing directly with the Mazda Miata and Mercedes-Benz SLK. Initially, European markets received a wider range of engines, including a frugal 1.8L four-cylinder. U.S. buyers, however, were offered the more powerful 1.9L four-cylinder from the outset. As the model evolved, both markets gained access to six-cylinder engines, culminating in the high-performance M Roadster and M Coupe variants. These M models featured engines derived from the E36 M3, with European versions benefiting from the more sophisticated S50 engine, while U.S. models used the less powerful S52 unit - a continuation of the performance disparity seen in the E36 M3.
Overview

The BMW M Coupe instantly became a cult upon its release to the market. Dubbed the "Clown Shoe" because of its completely unique shape compared to BMW's line up but we also think it's because of the smile it induced when sitting behind the wheel. This example is finished in the highly desirable Alpine White with the Black/Grey interior combination. It's traveled less than 9k miles since new and always maintained! Originally sold to an enthusiast in Arkansas it never saw any inclement weather and always garage kept until 2019 when it was sold to its second owner in Arizona. It traveled 800 miles in two years and finally found its new home at EAG in 2021!
Equipped with the legendary S54 powerplant mated to a five-speed manual transmission this vehicle embodies an end of an era while properly speeding into the golden age of analog M cars. This vehicle will not disappoint the pickiest of M Coupe collectors and offers the pure experience BMW M engineers intended on providing 23 years ago.
History
EAG originally acquired this special M Coupe back in 2021 and performed several services to ensure maintenance was up to date and the vehicle needed nothing to be enjoyed. These services include a valve adjust along with a full fluid and filter service, brake pressure sensors replaced during its brake fluid flush, and all of the extra mile services. This example comes with service history and documentation dating back to its initial ///M break-in service performed in June of 2002. We will be performing an additional in-depth inspection prior to the sale of the vehicle and addressing all of its service needs while documenting it in order to add to the vehicle's already sterling provonance.
