EAG Impressions
The E9X series (E90 sedan, E91 wagon, E92 coupe, E93 convertible) continued BMW's tradition of evolutionary design for the 3-Series. This generation saw increased globalization of BMW's lineup, with U.S. models more closely matching their European counterparts in terms of available engines and features. The E92 M3, powered by a high-revving V8, was virtually identical in both markets, marking a significant milestone for American BMW enthusiasts who had long envied European-spec models.
Overview

The E9X generation BMW M3 represents the end of an era for BMW Motorsport. A brand that was built on high-revving, naturally aspirated engines, as production concluded on the E9X in 2013, M cars all took on forced induction. Although the new engines offered far more power, improved drivability, and increased fuel economy, there is no doubt that they lost some of the charm that made people fall in love with BMW M over its decades of building cars. But, thankfully, the naturally aspirated engine they went out on was one of the greatest powerplants ever put in a road car and will forever stand as a high point in the world of enthusiast vehicles.
Powering this E92 M3 is the legendary S65 V8 - with 4.0 liters of displacement, this 414 horsepower motor is known for its ability to rev all the way to 8,400 rpm. With 8 individual throttle bodies, the throttle response is outstanding and both the induction noise and the sound that comes out of the tailpipes is intoxicating as you wind it around the tachometer. This engine is paired in this car to a 6-speed manual gearbox that makes every drive a joy and is both fun to use and easy to operate. With the Competition package, the car receives suspension upgrades in the form of a 10 mm drop and higher limits on the traction and stability control systems.
History
This enthusiast spec E92 was enthusiast ordered, owned and maintained throughout its whole life. Its 1,200 mile ///M Break-In Inspection was completed on time and has had several Blackstone tests during its subsequent oil services. EAG first received this vehicle late in 2020 and it did not take long for us to find it a new enthusiast home! While it was here we perfumed fluid and filter services, DME update along with replacement AGM battery, new Michelin 4S tires, and all of the Extra Mile services including things like the Start/Stop button getting replaced due to typical blemishes to new wipers ensuring the new owner received a turn-key example. It then traveled ~3,000 miles in five years before returning to us. Its latest service here includes engine belt tensioners getting replaced and an updated Extra Mile service package. Complete history for this example has been documented, saved, and ready to share with any interested buyer.
