The E9X series (E90 sedan, E91 wagon, E92 coupe, E93 convertible) continued BMW's tradition of evolutionary design for the 3-Series. This generation saw increased globalization of BMW's lineup, with U.S. models more closely matching their European counterparts in terms of available engines and features. The E92 M3, powered by a high-revving V8, was virtually identical in both markets, marking a significant milestone for American BMW enthusiasts who had long envied European-spec models.

The final years of the E92 M3 represent the peak of BMW’s naturally aspirated M philosophy. Powered by the S65 4.0-liter V8, the E92 delivers 414 horsepower and an 8,400 rpm redline, combining motorsport character with everyday usability.
