EAG Impressions
The E9X series (E90 sedan, E91 wagon, E92 coupe, E93 convertible) continued BMW's tradition of evolutionary design for the 3-Series. This generation saw increased globalization of BMW's lineup, with U.S. models more closely matching their European counterparts in terms of available engines and features. The E92 M3, powered by a high-revving V8, was virtually identical in both markets, marking a significant milestone for American BMW enthusiasts who had long envied European-spec models.
Overview

The Lime Rock Park Edition was BMW’s sendoff to one of the most celebrated M cars ever produced - the E92 M3. As a final tribute to the naturally aspirated S65 V8, BMW built just 200 units for the U.S. market, each finished in Fire Orange, the color synonymous with this special edition. Co-developed with Skip Barber and the Lime Rock Park team, the car received a sharper chassis tune, unique lightweight components, and bespoke cosmetic touches that made it one of the most desirable M3s of its generation.
This particular example was produced on September 4, 2012 and sold new in South Carolina, remaining in the Southeast before being acquired by its second owner in 2015. Showing low mileage and finished in its signature Fire Orange over Black Nappa leather, this Lime Rock Park Edition presents as a highly original and well-preserved example of BMW’s final V8-powered M3. The paint retains deep gloss and clarity, complemented by the factory 19-inch Competition Package wheels and carbon fiber front and rear spoilers.
Inside, the cabin features Black Novillo leather with contrasting stitching and Alcantara details. The Alcantara steering wheel with the 12 o’clock reference band, the track-map console plaque denoting “One of 200,” and the carbon-fiber interior trim all remain in outstanding condition. The Lime Rock was equipped with the Competition Package, Premium Package, and M Drive, balancing track precision with the comfort and usability expected of a BMW M car.
Under the hood lies BMW’s 4.0L S65 V8, producing 414 horsepower and revving to 8,400 rpm - the final naturally aspirated engine fitted to an M3. It’s paired here with a DCT transmission, a combination that still offers an engaging driving experience!
Upon arrival at Enthusiast Auto Group, this Lime Rock underwent a comprehensive inspection and service to ensure it meets our Extra Mile standard. Recent work includes: EDC (Electronic Damper Control) module replacement, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, New battery, Oil service, Brake fluid flush, Coolant flush, Cabin microfilter replacement.
The result is a fully sorted, turn-key Lime Rock Park Edition that drives every bit as tight and responsive as when it left the factory.
History

Sold new in South Carolina, this 2-owner Lime Rock Park Edition M3 has been freshly serviced and carefully preserved. With just 200 produced for North America, and as one of the final naturally aspirated M3s ever built, this example represents a significant and collectible piece of BMW M history - a car that perfectly captures the essence of the brand’s motorsport DNA.
