This incredible example first arrived at EAG in 2021 where we had the opportunity to indulge in its originality. Complete with service history and documentation when the vehicle was new back in 1988. After its arrival we performed our EAG Comprehensive Inspection and performed services to reset the baseline for any needs the vehicle may request from its new owner. These services include complete fluid and filter replacement, suspension refresh in the form the of the pitman arm replacement, rear shock replacement keeping the original self-leveling system in tact, and front thrust rod bushings.

We also identified any dry seals due to time and replaced anything required in the engine bay to make this a turn-key example. These services include valve cover gasket along with the rear cam plate seal and valve adjustment, intake boot, and all of the drive belts. The EAG Extra Mile service was also applied so the adjusting headrests were repaired and function tested, parking brake adjusted to factory spec, and all the way to replacing the front hood support shocks. An additional inspection and final check will be performed on this example prior to delivery to ensure the next fortunate owner can experience the E28 M5 as BMW M intended 37 years ago.
