The BMW M5 is regarded by most as the ultimate performance luxury sedan for enthusiasts who love to drive. But in three of the seven generations, the M5 wasn’t just offered in sedan form, but also a long-roof touring body. These days, the 2025 G90 wagon is getting all the press, but the performance wagon from BMW began with the E34 in 1992. Produced until 1995, over three years, BMW sold just 891 E34 M5s, making it one of the rarest M Cars of all time.

This 1993 E34 M5 Touring has a history of residing in England and Dubai, prior to landing in the United States in 2019. Finished in Stirling Silver, this M5 is on its second trip through our hands at EAG, where we performed a significant rejuvenation before delivering it to the consignor. Showing 211,504 kilometers, the car is in absolutely outstanding overall condition and presents like a car with a small fraction of the miles. The E34 M5 Touring was offered on a handful of great wheels, but this silver car sits on a set of beautiful BMW M-Parallels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. While under our care in 2019, the car received numerous exterior gaskets, along with sought-after BMW Motorsport embossed door handles all around.

Open the door, and you are met with one of the greatest BMW interior options ever offered. From an era when sporty BMWs received cloth instead of full leather, this car wears a beautiful combination of M-Hurricane seat centers and door cards, with microsuede seat bolsters and headrests in black. This interior lets people know that you aren’t looking at a normal 5-series Touring, especially when paired with the red BMW Motorsport embroidered seatbelts we installed during the 2019 rejuvenation. Climb into the manually adjustable driver’s seat, and you are met with an M-Tech 2 steering wheel that frames the white-on-black gauges with an 8,000 RPM tachometer and 300 km/h speedometer. An updated Blaupunkt BMW Traffic Pro stereo has been installed with modern functionality, and a 15-button on-board computer sits to its right.

Under the hood sits the final version of the famed S38B38 inline-6, a derivative of the engine found in the BMW M1 supercar. With individual throttle bodies and coil-on-plug ignition, the S38B38-powered E34 M5 produces 335 horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 6 seconds. It is then connected to a 5-speed Getrag-sourced manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. This example has been upgraded with an Eisenman race exhaust with a rasp-eliminator, which gives it a great sound that isn’t tiring or droney on the highway. One of the many elements that make the E34 M5 an all-time great Autobahn cruiser is the use of a self-leveling suspension that keeps the car level and planted, regardless of how loaded the rear of the vehicle is.
