EAG first had the pleasure of putting hands on this E36 M3 LTW in 2016 and it's been with our clients and back in our workshop since preserving the experience this model has to offer. Loaded with tons of documentation including a copy of the PTG letter included with every LTW when new dated 12/14/1995!
During its time through our workshop it's receive all fluids and filters. In 2016 we also performed services on the carbon fiber interior pieces keeping full originality. In 2018 we performed additional fluid and filter services and replaced aged rubber components based on condition due to age. This vehicle will once again go through our comprehensive inspection prior to be shipped to its new owner cementing it as one of the nicest examples and purest experiences still available 30 years later.
These M3s were delivered with major weight reductions including No Radio, No Air Conditioning, reduced weight Manual Seats wrapped in Hurricane Black Cloth, No Sunroof, No Tool Kit, Aluminum Door Skins, reduced carpeting and limited sound insulation. Mechanical Changes include a stiffer Sport Suspension, 3.23:1 Ratio Limited Slip Differential, and an ECU programming change to Remove the Top Speed Limiter. Every M3 Lightweight received the cosmetic appearance package that includes: Alpine White exterior with Motorsport flag decals on the Left Front and Right Rear corners, Lightweight 17” Stamped Forged Alloy Wheels and Rear Spoiler. Each M3 LTW was offered with a GT Kit which included Rear Deck GT Spoiler, Front Strut Tower Brace, undercarriage X-Brace, increased-capacity Oil Pan with dual-pickup Oil Pump and a Legal Agreement stating that installation of any of the kit parts voided BMWs New Vehicle Warranty. The GT front splitter, rear spoiler, front strut brace, and X-brace have been installed; the GT high-capacity oil pan and dual-pickup oil pump are included.
