Overview
The car was previously registered in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York before joining our collection. This 2002 BMW Z8 is one of 319 finished in Topaz Blue Metallic and features a Sport Red and Black Nappa leather interior. It shows just 5,420 miles and remains in exceptional condition. Equipment includes a color-matched removable hardtop, black soft top, Harman Kardon sound system, navigation, and heated power seats. Original accessories such as the books, tools, and Z8 coffee table book accompany the car.Exterior details include xenon headlights with washers, front fender vents with BMW roundels, polished mirror caps, and 18-inch split-spoke wheels. Inside, the Z8 features centrally mounted instrumentation, aluminum trim, and a banjo-style steering wheel, with leather covering nearly every surface.Powering the Z8 is the much-loved S62 V8 out of the E39 M5. Displacing 4.9 liters, this V8 produces 395 horsepower and 359 lb-ft of torque, which was quick in the M5 but makes the 500lb lighter Z8 particularly sprightly. Contemporary road tests were able to run 0-60 times in the low 4-second range, and the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. All of BMW’s Z8s were fitted with the same 6-speed manual gearbox found in the E39 M5Few modern BMWs have achieved the Z8’s status as both a design icon and collectible. This low-mile, Topaz Blue example represents one of the best-preserved, properly prepared Z8s available today.
