A reference grade example means something that has been owned, serviced, and preserved since new and this hits all of those marks. An incredible spec coupled with history that documents its 1,200 mile BMW ///M break-in service on 08/28/2003. We received this special vehicle in 2020 and have since preserved it for the next owner.
In 2020 when this first arrived we knew we had to reset the baseline so a comprehensive EAG 10-year service was performed that includes all of the fluids and filters being replaced. We also replaced the oil pain solenoid O-rings that commonly will start to leak over time. The rest of the services were also time based so oil filter housing mounts were replaced, rear upper control arms, front sway bar end links, and a new starter motor.
Its current work order followed this line of logic and no expense was spared when seeing how we can future proof this example. Services include a brake fluid flush, lower oil pan gasket, front thrust rod bushings, rear CV joint, and upgrading the rear sway bar brackets with our upgraded examples. This M5 is ready for a collection or cross-country trip.
