EAG Impressions
We had the pleasure of first being introduced to this M Roadster from its original owner in 2014 with it only having 4,408 miles. We then sold it to a local client who enjoyed it during Summer months and continued to keep serviced. During this round of rejuvenation we together invested over $10,000 in getting the baseline completely reset and ready for its next owner. It received everything from an oil pan gasket replacement, power steering pressure line replacement, brake fluid flush, new Michelin 4S tires and all of the EAG extra mile services you'd expect.
Overview
New arrival EAG Heritage Z4M Roadster finished in Space Grey over Black with only 17k miles!
The E85 M Roadster platform has been a favorite indulgence for all of us, especially during Summer, when you can put the top down and let the S54 sing. This example began life in California as of July of 2009 when its original owner used it for special events and always kept it serviced. Given the climate and enthusiast driven owner this vehicle is free from blemishes and mimics how it was presented when new. The interior is also free from wear in normal high traffic areas and touch points. It retains its matte finish and smells that will bring you back to the late 2000's.
We often believe this is the swan song for the golden area of driver's BMW M cars. It was the last time the engineers at BMW M made a vehicle to their specification and leaned on their resolve of this is how the vehicle should feel as opposed to computers that tweak the driving experience. There is no comfort mode, the sport button only ramps up throttle response, and when you buckle in you can almost hear the glee from South Carolina if it wasn't for the S54 climbing to its stratospheric redline.
Richard Hamond from Top Gear once compared this to hottest pepper in the world and it couldn't have been more apropos. You truly drive this vehicle by taking control of the wheel, the shift level, the clutch and the throttle. It all operates in harmony and when pushed you'll be forgiven for the beads of sweat and euphoric feeling!
