The detailing team from Enthusiast Auto Group recently had the exciting opportunity to head down to Cumming, Georgia, to visit our friends at Gtechniq. But this was more than a social visit — we were lucky enough to be the first group trained in Gtechniq's brand-new 4,800-square-foot facility, learning about the massive advances that have reshaped the detailing world over the last decade.
Why we invest in training
Detailing and paint protection are not afterthoughts at EAG — they are a core part of how we preserve the cars in our care. The chemistry behind ceramic coatings, the tooling behind paint correction, and the techniques behind a flawless finish have all advanced dramatically in recent years. Staying current is the only way to deliver the standard our clients expect.
What we learned
- The latest generation of Gtechniq ceramic coatings, and how their chemistry has evolved for durability and gloss
- Advanced paint-correction technique using Rupes polishing systems for consistent, swirl-free results
- Surface preparation and decontamination methods that make the difference between a good finish and a perfect one
- Long-term maintenance practices that keep a coated car looking its best for years
The Rupes difference
Anyone who has spent time with a dual-action polisher knows the brand. Rupes' tooling has become a benchmark for paint correction because it balances power, control, and finish quality — letting a trained technician remove decades of defects without compromising the integrity of the paint. Pairing that tooling with Gtechniq's coatings gives us a complete, repeatable process from correction to protection.
Bringing it home
Training like this does not stay in Georgia — it comes straight back to our shop floor. Every car that goes through our conditioning and protection process benefits from the techniques our team picked up, and that translates directly into better, longer-lasting results for our clients.
Preservation is a craft. The more we learn, the better we can protect the cars our clients trust us with.
