EAG Impressions
The E9X series (E90 sedan, E91 wagon, E92 coupe, E93 convertible) continued BMW's tradition of evolutionary design for the 3-Series. This generation saw increased globalization of BMW's lineup, with U.S. models more closely matching their European counterparts in terms of available engines and features. The E92 M3, powered by a high-revving V8, was virtually identical in both markets, marking a significant milestone for American BMW enthusiasts who had long envied European-spec models.
Overview

As the final and most exclusive iteration of the E92 M3, the Lime Rock Park Edition represented BMW M’s farewell to the naturally aspirated V8 era. Limited to just 200 units for the U.S. market, each finished in Fire Orange, the Lime Rock was developed in collaboration with Skip Barber and the team at the famed Connecticut racetrack. With its sharper chassis tuning, Competition Package suspension, and unique cosmetic touches, it stands as one of the most collectible modern M cars ever built.
This particular example was produced on August 21, 2012 and sold new at Bobby Rahal BMW of South Hills in Pennsylvania. It has remained with its original owner since new and shows an astonishing 85 miles from new. Presented in time-capsule condition, this Lime Rock Park Edition remains fully original down to its factory-fitted Michelin Pilot Sport tires, with paint, trim, and interior materials appearing exactly as delivered in 2013.
Factory equipment includes the Competition Package, the Premium Package, adding power seats, navigation, Park Distance Control, and power-folding mirrors; and the Cold Weather Package, with heated "Speed Cloth" seats and headlight washers. Distinctive Lime Rock details include the carbon fiber roof panel, Alcantara flat-bottom steering wheel with blue center marker, carbon leather interior trim, and the center console plaque denoting this car as “One of 200.”
Power comes from BMW’s S65 4.0-liter V8, producing 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, paired here with the 7-speed M DCT transmission. The result is a precise, high-revving experience that perfectly captures the M Division’s motorsport roots while representing the last of its naturally aspirated lineage.
In preparation for presentation and sale, this Lime Rock Park Edition will receive Enthusiast Auto Group’s standard intake evaluation and preservation process - a detailed multi-point inspection, verification of fluids, systems, and components, and recommissioning consistent with EAG’s delivery standards for investment-grade vehicles. All work will be carried out to maintain the car’s originality and ensure mechanical integrity for its next caretaker.
Included with the sale are both keys, the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, license plate bracket, and documentation reflecting its single-owner history.
History

With only 85 miles, complete provenance, and fully original presentation, it represents one of the finest surviving Lime Rock Park Editions - a true museum-quality benchmark for the E9X platform.
